Mexico Holiday Montage

I managed to get my kids to do a few things in Mexico out of their comfort zone with the simple promise of a peso. They are in a Spanish immersion school so I really wanted them to practice their Spanish, although unfortunately Puerto Vallarta is not exactly a hotbed of Mexican culture. My proudest moment was when Keegan asked the teller at the bank for some tape in perfect Espanol, although their rendition of Feliz Navidad with the mariachi band at a local tourist trap restaurant took a close second.

The Next Internet Sensation?

Dancing child with dog, it's a can't miss youtube hit, sure to net me millions in virtual internet dollars.

Or maybe not. Happy Father's Day to my kids' dads and all the other silly dads out there.

My Lil' Frat Guy

My boy's going to make a great frat brother, no question. I don't think we've ever had a member of the Greek society in our family midst, but with this acute ability to burp on command, not to mention after every sip, I think it's inevitable. "How do you do that?" is the constant refrain from his annoyed, but jealous brother.

He's been practicing tormenting his brother practically from birth, what with the punching, the grunting, the underwear tossing. I'd say we're at about a 3 - 2 - 1 laugh/whine/cry ratio right about now.

If the kicking was not enough...

The constant sticking out of the tongue...

Today, he threw a (full, yes, gross) pull-up and it hit his brother right in the mouth. "Blech, ugh, gross, eww, that is NOT FUNNY! You better not be laughing." Those were the words coming out of Keegan's mouth as he doused it with water. "I cannot get the taste out of my mouth." Donovan was suppressing some giggles, and pulling his angry "I am not in trouble" grunt, and, okay, it was little funny. I sent Keegan down for some root beer I'd stolen somehow ended up with after a company party. This guy's no slouch, though, in is frat potential.

We do have some blackmail material, which we'll freely share with his brother if he's still tormenting the guy as a teenager. Please, please, please ignore the messy house. (Yes, they are wearing the same pjs).
