Pros and Cons of the Wii, or Why I need a Wii Fit

The kids and I have been having a ball with the Wii, don't get me wrong, but I occasionally seek to question the wisdom of the all powerful Wii, although I am in sufficient denial that the Wii causes any arguments between my kids. I am confident these little buggers would find something else to fight about.

Pro - I really feel like it's helping me getting in shape, judging by my sore arms, legs and other parts of my poor neglected body.
Con - it's a little embarrassing that my exercise routine consists of playing a child's video game.

Pro - Mii's are fun to make, they come in all different colors and sizes
Con - My kids have no imagination, all of their Mii's are named lepy or piggy, Keegan's are blue, Donovan's are green it's like the alternate universe in South Park, the only difference is a goatee (or in Keegan's case slightly different eyes).

Pro - I've finally figured out the damn Mountain Boarding, exceeding the 2000 points it takes to "clear" the 'intermidate' (how Keegan pronounces it) level.
Con - it took me till fricken 1am in the morning and I believe I have permanently damaged my poor back, which is currently being treated with ye ol' bag o' frozen peas.

If only I had a Wii Fit, I could do some yoga for my back. As I can't possibly do it on my own, of course, I'm hooked now!

And in other news, no letter for my little boy, but Donovan's turning 5 today, so Happy Birthday Donovan! I can hear him straining and singing to himself in the potty right now, my little boy is growing up.

Behold the rainbow CCC (cupcake cake), an homage to one of my favorite blogs, cakewrecks (I agree with the fab author, more of a humor blog than a food blog).

We're bringing this to preschool today, getting a giant Costco cake to celebrate at MACSA futsal tonight, and I'll make him a requested pink cake in the shape of a pig for next week's bowling party.

  1. I have tendonitis from the Wii. I suspect it's from tennis and Guitar Hero. What a loser I am. I too covet the Wii Fit.

  2. Wow...I am seriously going to have to get a Wii Fit. I hate video games, but every mom I have spoken to swears by this thing! Dang...no upcoming holiday or b'days...OH WAIT! Valentines Day!! Think it's too short notice?
