Even though I voted for Obama, and I agreed with this post about Clinton stepping down, I am actually sort of excited about the wins tonight. I had a really tough time choosing who to vote for, especially after Edwards dropped out, but decided on Obama mostly because I thought he had a better chance against McCain. And I'm concerned this lack of unity among the Democrats does not bode well for the final election (please, please, please can we get a Democrat in office). I believe sexism is alive and well here in America, and even when that's not a factor, Clinton just seems to bring out this fierce hatred in people. I don't exactly know why, and don't really want to anymore.
On the other hand, I freely admit I've voted for a number of people solely because they were women. And I'm just so excited about the historical significance of this election and the fact that we might finally have a female president. Or maybe it's just because she was on the Daily Show last night.
I would LOVE to see a female president too :)
ReplyDeleteIt's all so very exciting...what I'm excited about is that Obama and Clinton are still neck and neck and will continue this primary race full speed....this will in effect activate more and more people (democrats) to really get out there and hear them and know them...I think it's going to be very good in the long run that this continues....
ReplyDeleteI am new to blogging so I am just surfing the net to find bloggers like me. I love your blog. I didn't know there are other moms who watch as much TV as me.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Hillary for the same reasons you voted for Obama. I like both. I was happy for Hillary last night. It is exciting. I don't care who wins just as long as they can beat McCain.
I really like both. If Obama wins, can Hillary be Attorney General? She has the brains. She'd kick butt as AG.
