If you haven't got your health

I've got two posts I meant to write and somehow got way behind. Both relate to women's health so I thought it was timely that my group blog, Silicon Valley Moms, and their "spin-offs" DC and Chicago Moms, are making Thursday's politacal day, and this thursday the topic is healthcare. Read the insurance horror stories, opinions on universal health care, the candidates plans - and share your own thoughts. I'll be putting a post up so watch for that one.

And speaking of health, I joined Team WhyMommy an embarrasingly long time ago and never put a post up. The lovely WhyMommy of Toddler Planet and Review Planet, as well as a contributer to DC Metro Moms Blog, is educating and inspiring us as she writes about her life and her battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Both my maternal grandma and my MIL lived long lives after breast cancer (my MIL is still going strong), and we are so grateful that my own mother is so far cancer-free. But many many women are not so fortunate, including Elizabeth Edwards, who is sure there is a cure out there for all cancers. So I encourage you all to get on board this team or whatever works for you.

And last, but certainly not least, I've added a new badge over there on the left, courtesy of another fabulous blogger Veronica from Chicago Moms and Viva La Feminista. She's now blogging at the Aurora Planned Parenthood blog and I too am proud to be a pro-choice mommyblogger. And what does this have to do with health? Uh, pretty much everything.
