Just call me martyr mom, as I'm taking the boys by myself. Well, just me and 100 other people from our school.
Which can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the people. Mostly good, really, but after last year, when I was looked askance at after my kids went to sleep and I emerged from my tent with a bottle of wine, call me wary.
That was only topped the next morning when I once again emerged, this time with my trusty bag of Peet's coffee and a French Press, only to be met by the following comments... "coffee, oh no, not for me" and "it's too early for coffee!" WTF? This time I have my own stove, pot, coffee and beer. Oh, wait, it might be too early for that.
I took all three of mine camping last weekend, sans the husband. I did not forget the coffee, the jet boil or the 5 bottles of wine (never know what might sound good to share). If it wasn't for the long, labor day weekend drive, it would have been perfect. (I'll deem it perfect, anyway.)
ReplyDeleteHow can it be too early for coffee?
ReplyDeleteI actually don't drink coffee, but even to me that makes no sense.
