Me: Because your parents picked the name they like, so they're the only ones who get to change it.
Keegan: But why can't I change my name?
Me: You aren't mature enough to pick a name.
Keegan: But why can't I change my name to "Spiny Norman"
Me: Spiny Norman is a silly name.
Keegan: No it's not, it's from Monty Python
Me: I rest my case
I love the fact your son enjoys Monty Python's humor. It took a while for my kids to "get it". Can't you just see the other mothers faces when you call, "It's time to come home Spiny".
