Blog that Recession Baby

It's Blog the Recession month - whee, a very cool idea from Kristin, one of my favorite bloggers whom I was too intimidated to say hi to at BlogHer. Okay, that's not totally true, but she did look busy. Funny side note, though, I grabbed an old laptop case of mine, and lo and behold what was in there but the condoms she passed out last year. Her hi's from last year were good enough for me.

But enough about me, and her, this is about the economy, and the blogosphere and clicks and twits. The idea is to get yourself out there, click on through, read new bloggers, click through on your feedreaders and get the click money flowing.

I'm not doing this blogging for the money, because I am simply way above that, no, kidding, boy could I use more money and I'd take it anyway I could, but really I don't put enough time in to this little old blog for that. It's more of an online scrapbook/journally thingy, but this goes really well with my own post BlogHer08 August goal, which is to get out there, comment more, post more, stop wondering if I'll ever be a decent writer or find my niche, but just make some new blogging buddies.

So I vow to actually take time to comment on way more posts. In particular, which I read something awesome, don't wait so long to link back to it that I've totally forgotten which blog it is on.

  1. Isn't this a great idea. That MU... she's one smart cookie.

p.s. I would have been totally intimidated by her too :-)

  2. OK, so in honor of your topic, I will actually leave a comment...which is something I rarely manage to do. I just happily read blogs! It is good advice, though.

  3. I'm in, too - my post will be up later this week. It means only pennies, I won't kid myself, but pennies can add up.

  6. I just joined the Blog the Recession. Such a great idea and fun as well. Another fun perk is finding great new blogs to frequent :)

I don't make any money on my blog either, but I'll take the love anyway!

  8. Darn it! I clicked through a few links for the whole point of it and ended up adding people to my already gut-filled google reader. THANKS! No, thanks, because who doesn't love more awesome people to read.
